Park rules

Use of Hounds & Bounds secure dog walking areas is entirely at the user's/owner's risk.

You are responsible for the actions and behaviour of your dogs at all times. Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure the safety of you and your dogs, we cannot be held responsible for any injury to people or dogs however caused.

Use of the fields is subject to the agreement of these terms. If we find any of these have been broken, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the session and not return; sessions will not be refunded if we have to ask you to leave.

We reserve the right to withdraw permission to use the facility at our discretion. On occasion we may need to re-schedule customers' bookings.

Bookings only

• Our walking areas are only available on a pre-booked basis. You must never be on site at any time other than your allocated slot.
• All sessions must be booked before you arrive on site and are only confirmed once payment has been received.
• Sessions are for 1 hour time slots; you must have departed the enclosure before the end of your hour.
• If you arrive late you cannot extend your booking.
• Once bookings have been made they are non-refundable.
• You can amend the session time and date in the My Account area up to 48 hours before your booking.

Field access

• Once the online checkout has been completed you will receive a booking confirmation email containing your gate code. If this email does not arrive you must inform us at the point of booking — please do not wait until you are at the field, as this could delay the start of your booking.
• Do not enter the field until the previous person has departed. This must be adhered to even if the previous customer is late leaving — if this occurs, please call us on 07791 438281 and we will make contact with the customer who has overstayed.
• Do not arrive for your session earlier than your start time, as this impacts the previous customer's booking.
• Never force or push the gates, as this damages the motor; any repair cost will be passed on to the customer.
• The attending customer is responsible for securing the gate and ensuring access cannot be made from outside during their session.

Dogs on site

• Attendees are responsible for their dogs at all times.
• Dogs must never be left unattended.
• All dogs must be accompanied by an adult.
• If your dog shows signs of ill health they must not attend the session.

Waste

• Cleaning up after your dog is non-negotiable. Bags and bins are provided on site and must be used.
• We keep a check for any waste left behind and will contact any offending customers. Anyone found regularly leaving waste will be asked not to return.
• Do not litter — all rubbish must be placed in the bins provided.

Agility & park equipment

• Agility equipment is provided for you to use during your session. It is used at your own risk and you must assess whether it is right for your dog.
• The equipment is only for our canine visitors and must not be climbed on by anyone else.
• Any damage must be reported.

Exempt & banned breeds

As we are a private, fully-secured space that can be locked, you are able to book to walk in our paddocks. Good field practice must be adhered to, including locking the gate once it has automatically closed before your dog is released from your vehicle.

• Your dog is not to be out of the vehicle while waiting to enter the field.
• You must leave the paddock within your booked time to ensure no crossover with arriving customers.
• You must be able to show a certificate of exemption if requested.
• You must only use the field with dogs from your own household.
• You must have third-party liability insurance.

Gov.uk rules

To keep an XL Bully dog it must be:

• microchipped
• kept on a lead and muzzled at all times when in public
• kept in a secure place so it cannot escape
• neutered

As the owner, you must also:

• be over 16 years old
• take out third-party public liability insurance against your dog injuring other people
• be able to show the Certificate of Exemption when asked by a police officer or a council dog warden, either at the time or within 5 days.
